Millstone Township History

Millstone Township was incorporated in 1844, purportedly named after the Millstone River that originates in the Township, but its roots stretch back much further into history. Its landscape was frequently navigated and scavenged by Native Americans for thousands of years. European colonists arrived circa 1680 and established an agricultural landscape that has persisted in many forms to the present day.
